Utah has been the favorite vacation of locals and foreigners through the years because of its beautiful surroundings. It is known for its natural, beautifully carved landscapes, national parks and monuments, resorts and golf courses. There are also endless recreational activities here such as boating, snowmobiling, snow kiting, rock climbing and skiing/boarding.

Salt Lake City is the capital of Utah and it paves the way to state ski resorts, national parks and golf courses. The city hosted the 2002 Olympic Winter Games since it is the home of world class ski facilities. The famous Mormon Temple Square is one of the city’s best attractions and it also offers live entertainment and nightlife.

Utah is famous for its beautiful landscapes mostly lying on the plateau higher than 4 thousand feet above sea level. Lifts are rolling dramatically in the shape of buttes, mountains, and plateaus with over 13,000 feet as the highest reach. For instance, in the Monument Valley, unique sandstone formation and some of Utah’s great hikes are found here.

In addition, the Grand Staircase/Escalante National Monument incorporates land with a topographical trait. The Grand Staircase, The Canyons of Escalante, and the Kaiparowits Plateau are the three division of this multi-hued landscape.

Utah has 5 best national parks, all located just close to each other. These may include: Bryce Canyon, Arches National Park, Canyonlands National Park, Capitol Reef National Park and Zion National Park.

Canyonlands is Utah’s largest national park with a thousand foot panoramas down into river canyons or up to red rock spires. The Grand Canyon National Park can best be accessed through Southern Utah. Moreover, The Mesa Verde National Park is located across the boundary in Colorado, Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park spans the Utah or Arizona border and the Great Basin National Park embraces our Nevada border.

The headquarters of the US Ski and Snowboard Association is located in Park City, Utah. The challenging slopes of Utah is known to have the “greatest snow” in the world with a regular of 500 inches of dry, powder snow annually. The majority of the 13 wonderful resorts in Utah are just an hour away from Salt Lake City International Airport.

Ogden, Utah, area is a heart for skiing and adventure sports. When you’re here, the city offers a shuttle service from the Valley Condo’s to Historic 25th Street and from city center hotels to all three local resorts.

Lake Powell is a great place for houseboating situated in Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. This lake is 186 miles long that features cool blue water, excellent red-rock panorama and white sandy beaches. This is suitable for kayaking, boating and fishing. Likewise, Pineview Reservoir offers exceptional opportunities for fishing, boating, and other water sports adventure. It also provides white, sandy beaches.

Ogden River Parkway is a picturesque trail that contours the river running from the Ogden Canyon down into the city. You can pass the Loren Farr Park, Eccles Dinosaur Park, the Big D Sports Park, and the Ogden Stadium and into the center of Ogden’s most modern business district as you leisurely walk the parkway.

The golf courses in Utah are best known for its beautiful scenic views and good weather condition. Most of the golf courses in Heber Valley and Park City are suitable for summer getaway. Those courses located near St. George are best during both summer and winter time.
